Biosano Project wins the national award at Naves 2015 Challenge.

The Biosano project won the national finals of the Naves 2015 Challenge organized by the Austral University. The project consists in the development and production of a biopolymer for treating the muds of oil wells in a sustainable way and replacing imported products. Mendoza Invest has assisted Biosano in different steps of its development.

NAVES MENDOZA AWARDS 2015

The last part of the NAVES Mendoza Challenge 2015 took place on Thursday, October 22, at the Aconcagua University.

This was the 3rd edition of this Business Plans Challenge in Mendoza, which is organized by Supervielle Bank and Austral University (IAE).

The jury of this edition was composed of Juan Martin Rodriguez (Director of Naves  IAE), Carlos Moyano and Berenice Poeta (Cuyo Aval), Carolina Suarez Garcés (Mendoza Invest) and Mauricio Bertonati Horcas (Banco Supervielle)

The winning projects were:

CHAPITAS:  Non-tech toys focused on design and quality

LOP – Supply Chain Management: Software for managing supply chains

BIOSANO: 100 % natural and  biodegradable flocculant, specially designed for cleaning oiled waters.

These projects will represent Mendoza during the Federal Semifinals in Buenos Aires on November 3.

UTN students developed a natural polymer

Students of Chemical Engineering at UTN Regional Mendoza developed a natural polymer having high degradability and highly absorbent and flocculant power, which is mainly used for the treatment of contaminated as a result of the process of drilling and extraction of oil sludge

Three Argentine companies among the most comprehensive in Latin America

Tenaris , Ternium and Arcos Dorados are the only three Argentine companies with multinational scope , as ranked by the magazine spread AmericaEconomia.com .

The list of ” multinationals ” the first leading Mexican petrochemical Mexichem , present in 34 countries with 80 % of its sales outside the country where it has its headquarters.

It is followed by another Mexican , Cemex Latam Lan Chile Brazil , the Brazilian JBS , food group and then a Peruvian AJE Group, dedicated to beverages and spirits.

Tenaris had sales of $ 10.338 million , 75.6 % of which were abroad. It has a presence in 14 countries.
